Frequently Asked Questions

Please call our office for more information and to book your appointment at 604-733-3434.

How Much Does it Cost?

Our fees are extremely competitive, one of the most cost effective in the city. Our office provides a 'one stop shop' providing on site blood work and the medical exam during your visit. Please call our office to inquire at 604-733-3434. The medical fee includes the cost of all required medical tests.

When Can I Make an Appointment?

Immediately! Appointments are usually available the next day. If you have the time, please book in advance, however we always welcome last minute calls should you need an immigration medical exam immediately. Appointments are also available for groups or families.

What Can I Expect During the Medical Exam?

The doctor will review your past medical history and will complete a general check up. The standard procedure for all immigration medical examinations will be followed.  Urinalysis is required for those ages 5 and older.  X-Rays are required for those 11 years and older. Blood tests are required for those 15 years and older and are completed in the office. Photos are also available to be taken during your visit to our office.

What Should I Bring?

  • All documents that you have received from Immigration Canada
  • Eyeglasses or contact lenses if you use them
  • A detailed list of all medications that you are taking

What Languages are Spoken in Your Office?

Our medical staff are fluent in English, Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese. If you do not speak any of these languages you are still more than welcome! However, please bring a translator if possible.

What Happens After the Examination?

Our office staff have over 20 years of experience with processing immigration medicals. We quickly send your medical report electronically. If any of your tests are abnormal you will be advised.

You will receive a notification directly from Immigration Canada regarding your status, not our office. If you do not hear from Immigration within 2-3 months, we recommend that you call the Medical Office Branch in Ottawa at 1-888-242-2100.

If the above does not answer all your questions, please call our office at 604-733-3434 or visit the official Government of Canada website.
